NEET-UG re-exam: Nagpur student allotted center in Abu Dhabi, officials promise new admit card

NTAs major technical glitch

The NEET-UG re-exam is scheduled for 21 जून, following the cancellation of the previous exam due to allegations of paper leaks. However, a major technical error has emerged where a student from Nagpur was allotted an exam center in Abu Dhabi. The student, named Abdullah, was stunned to see an international location on his admit card, causing significant distress to his family.

Correction process initiated

Despite selecting Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as his preferred exam centers, the student was assigned a center abroad. Following the complaint, authorities acknowledged the technical error and assured that a revised admit card would be issued soon.

• NTA officials have directed the family to file a formal complaint via email.
• The family attached the faulty admit card to their complaint.
• Officials promised to issue a new hall ticket by 4:00 PM.

Family reaction

The student's father, Dr. Mohammad Talib, expressed shock over the incident. He mentioned that the student had performed well in the previous exam held at Saraswati Vidyalaya Shankar Nagar and was well-prepared for the re-exam. The family is currently trying to keep the student motivated, but they have clarified that the student will only be able to appear for the test if the center is provided in Nagpur, Wardha, or Bhandara. Any other location would make it impossible for him to take the exam.
